Terra Alsacien, a sound and light show from February 28 to March 29, 2026, in Saint Paul's Church in Strasbourg
At the heart of Strasbourg's history
In the aftermath of the 1870 war, Strasbourg was turned upside down. Borders changed, families were torn apart, and loyalties were divided.
Some left the city, others built a new Alsace—like the stonemasons who built Saint Paul's Church on the banks of the Ill, the dockers and merchants of the Port of the Rhine, and the farming dynasties who founded the hop fields and ushered in the golden age of brewing.
In the monumental setting of Saint Paul's Church, Terra Alsatia immerses the viewer in the heart of intertwined destinies, of men and women tossed about by the wars of 1870 to 1945, against a backdrop of exodus, betrayal, but also love, reconciliation, and spirituality.
Here, Strasbourg becomes a mirror of a Europe in flux, oscillating between borders, ambitions, and shared identities, where each life tells a piece of our common memory.
