Fête de la Krutenau

On Saturday, June 13, Place des Orphelins and Place Sainte-Madeleine will host a new edition of the Krutenau Festival. Organized in partnership with local associations and residents, this free event offers a wide range of activities for all ages throughout the afternoon and evening.

From 3:00 p.m., visitors can explore community stands, take part in environmental-themed games, enjoy pastries from around the world, and discover family-friendly activities and entertainment for children. A guided walking tour focusing on the history and heritage of the Krutenau district will also depart from Place des Orphelins at 2:30 p.m.

The day’s highlights include a Greek dance performance at 4:00 p.m., a Ukrainian dance show at 5:00 p.m., and a music quiz (Blind Test) at 5:45 p.m. From 6:00 p.m., food stalls will offer merguez sausages, falafels and traditional Alsatian tarte flambée before the live concert by Privat Covers begins at 8:00 p.m.

Place des Orphelins is easily accessible via tram lines A and D (stop “Porte de l’Hôpital”) or tram lines C, E and F (stop “Université”).

A wonderful opportunity to experience the friendly atmosphere of the Krutenau and enjoy a festive day in one of Strasbourg’s most iconic neighborhoods.
